This cozy modern striped ripple baby blanket would make the perfect baby shower gift or present for a sweet little one! Read on down for the full FREE crochet baby blanket pattern!
When I decided to make this car seat blanket I made sure I picked fun colors! I was instantly drawn to the Impeccable yarn line from Michael’s Stores because of all the bright fun color choices I would have! (Don’t have a Michael’s nearby? Shop on Amazon.com to find a substitute) I ultimately chose to go with a bright yellow & green combo mixed with earthy neutrals.
These colors would be perfect for a baby boy or girl! Don’t you agree?
I used a size J crochet hook and I highly recommend Boye crochet hooks since I have found them to be the easiest to work with. The great thing about this project is that it only takes less than 1 skein of yarn of each color to make the car seat blanket. Perfect! In the pattern notes section I listed out all the materials needed including the exact colors I used so your crochet blanket will be exactly the same!

I love this – thank you for the cool pattern. If you want to increase the width larger than 17 inches – how many stitches would you add on? I can’t tell what the repeat would be…. TIA!!
Hi! I wrote this so long ago I not quite sure! I will have to take a peek at it and figure it out! Ill post here when I do! (Hopefully today!)
