TO GET STARTED
Yarn & Hook: Use 3 colors of any weight yarn and corresponding crochet hook as stated on yarn package. (I used Impeccable yarn from Michaels in Aqua, Soft Taupe, and Arbor Rose but any worsted weight yarn will work if you want it to look like my sample!)
Multiples: With your first color chain a multiple of 18. A multiple of 18 is just 18+18 added over and over again. For example: 18,36,54,72,90,108,126,144,162,180,198,216,234,252,270,288, 306,324,342,360,378,396,414,432,450,468,486,504,522,540 etc.

Can this be done with just one (or two) large skeins of multicoloured yarn instead of alternating colors?
Yep and that would be perfect with no ends to weave in! ๐
Thanks Kristaโบ

when you say 3 dc, skip 2 chains, 3 dc do you mean to chain 2 in between those clusters or to only skip the 2 chains but not chain 2 in between clusters?

Well l am stumped. It doesnโt state how many chains to do for the Granny Ripple Afaghan
Hi! It is under the Granny Ripple Tutorial Detail Section:
With your first color chain a multiple of 18. A multiple of 18 is just 18+18 added over and over again. For example: 18,36,54,72,90,108,126,144,162,180,198,216,234,252,270,288, 306,324,342,360,378,396,414,432,450,468,486,504,522,540 etc.
Happy Crocheting!
In the foundation row when you said { 3 double crochets, 3 chains, 3 double crochets }, what did you mean?
Hi Lauren,
You do 3 double crochets, chain 3, 3 double crochets all in one stitch. ๐
Happy Crocheting!

Unless I’m blind….I didn’t see what size hook you used!!
Hi Connie,
This is a general tutorial. Under the to get started section it says “Use 3 colors of Yarn and corresponding crochet hook as stated on yarn package”

I love this pattern, when you say multiples of 18, do you mean as many multiples for the size you want??
Hi Davina,
Yes. ๐ You can chose whatever multiple of 18 you wish and the pattern will work. ๐
