Chunky Crochet Cowl Pattern
- Crochet hook size N 9.00 MM
- 1 Ball Lion Brand Yarn Wool-Ease Thick and Quick Yarn, Oatmeal (6 Bulky)
- Yarn needle
- Tip 1: How to Half Double Crochet
- Written in standard US terms
- Chain any even # to change the size of the cowl
CHUNKY CROCHET COWL PATTERN
Foundation: Chain 50 , in second chain from hook half double crochet, half double crochet in each chain across. slip stitch to top of first hdc to form a circle (be careful not to twist)
Round 1: (working in the round now) Chain 1, half double crochet in next chain, continue half double crocheting in each chain around. join with a slip stitch to top of half double crochet not chain 1. (50 stitches)
Round 2: Chain 2, double crochet in first stitch, double crochet in each stitch around. join with a slip stitch to top of double crochet not chain 2. (50 stitches)
Round 3: Chain 1, half double crochet in the first stitch, continue half double crocheting in each stitch around. join with a slip stitch to top of half double crochet not chain 1. (50 stitches)
Round 4: Repeat round 3
Round 5: Repeat round 2
Round 6: Repeat round 3
Round 7: Repeat round 3
Finishing: Fasten off, cut with scissors and weave in loose ends with the yarn needle!
