Since it is the season of all things pumpkiny I thought I would whip up a quick little crochet pumpkin! 🍂 Read on down to find out how to make one of these cute crochet pumpkins for yourself!
Add to most anything!
This can be used as an applique for a bigger project, key chain or little book bag accessory.
All you need is cotton yarn, a crochet hook, and a yarn needle to make this quick 10 minute project! Yep! It is that simple! Read on down for the full FREE tutorial!
- crochet hook – Find one on Amazon here ➸ Clover Hook Size J 6.00 mm
- Cotton yarn – Find it on Amazon here ➸ Lily Sugar’n Cream in Hot Orange & Mod Green
- yarn needle
- hdc – half double crochet
- sc – single crochet
- sl st – slip stitch
- ch – chain
- st – stitch
- dc – double crochet
CROCHET PUMPKIN PATTERN
Round 1: with orange ch 2, in second ch from the hook hdc 10 times, sl st to top of the first hdc. (10)
Round 2: ch 1, starting in 2nd ch from hook hdc 2 times, hdc 2 times in each st around, sl st to top of first hdc. (20) (do not fasten off orange)
Join in green, ch 4, working in to the 2nd ch of the ch 4 sc, hdc in next ch, dc in next ch, sl st to the top of the 2nd hdc of the previous round, fasten off.
picking up orange ch 1, and sc in the next st after the st you just sl st in with green, sc in the next 4 sts, sl st in the next 8 sts, sc in the next 5 sts. sl st in the next st and fasten off.
Weave in loose ends securely throughout with yarn needle.
